Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied I bought this unit to replace my (compeditor's) large Bluetooth speaker that got recalled. I did my research and decided on this one. A friend of mine owns a recording studio and only uses JBL speakers so I had high expectations for this speaker. If I had to choose all over again I would buy this speaker again in a heartbeat. It delivers great sound and strong bass. The battery life has never let me down and I play it loud for hours. The shoulder strap is perfect for hanging the unit. I like that these units are durable. Some of the other speakers I considered sounded good too but seemed designed to stay indoors. My unit goes places !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JBL Extreme I ad no idea this little thing would have the sound quality that is does. I would "highly" recommend this BT device. The bass is outstanding, mids and highs are extremely clear and it will take the volume without distortion. Really enjoying this purchase! The only recommendation would be to include in the instructions how to change the bass from high to low. Only found this information on a Youtube video. You pause the song, hold down the volume down and the Bluetooth button at the same time for 10 seconds. My unit had the full bass setting and when I did this it cut the bass by 50%. (for those who don't like a lot of bass sound)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bluetooth Speaker This is a great bluetooth speaker. Now, I have a small sound rental company where our largest system package can produce 30,000 watts. Having that said, I know what good sound sounds like. The key with this speaker is putting it in a basstrap (In a corner, bookshelf, etc.) If you do that, then the bass is almost as good as JBL claims it is. Now, you're not going to be rattling your floor with this, as it is only has a 2x20 bi amp, but for every day applications and portability, this thing is great. I use it when I play soccer, go to the beach and for small barbecues. It is indeed a great speaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monster ! This comes to my real surprise that the sound quality is much better than the Bose Soundlink 3. It covers from bass to high fidelity tone which is the best combination of the design. Another great point which I would like to stress here is, the Bluetooth distance is way far more superior than Bose. I play my iPhone music from downstairs and I can still be reached at upstairs. There is absolute no sound impairment. Bose Soundlink quality starts deteriorated after 15 feet away. I strongly recommend you to forget about Bose (I was a Bose supporter for many years), it is time to switch it to JBL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BLOWN AWAY. I Bought this speaker to blow away my brother's speaker (He has a Bose Sounddock). As soon as we started the "Sound off" Mine already won. The JBL xtreme has AMAZING base that I can feel in my toes lol. I can hear every instrument being played PERFECTLY. At the loudest volume there's No distortion. I take this bad boy with me to South beach and it beats everyone's giant boom boxes. The only thing I wish could be more clear is when the battery is completely charged. The last (or 5th) Led indicator keeps of blinking as if to say it's still charging. Also the bass radiators should be protected better. Still looks awesome, Still an amazing speaker, I would buy this again, 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big sound, small package. I purchased a re-certified unit direct from JBL. It arrived packed like a new one which was a nice touch. The device itself sounds great; sure its not going to replace your home music system, pumping out a gazillion watts, but what it will d, is give you a pleasant sounding portable Bluetooth speaker that's capable of making itself heard when you need it to. It sure beats those tinny tranny's and cheap Bluetooth speakers that struggle to sound half decent at any volume and sound terrible the more you crank them up. The JBL will give you a fuller rounder sound at all volumes and the battery lasts for hours on a full charge, enabling you to take it anywhere, even next to the kids in the pool, because it's splash proof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound! This speaker definitely packs a wallop. It is a definition of superb quality sound you'd enjoy. The bass rocks the house & the sounds are all there. Its an overall marvelous device...with a few flaws. I'd wish they were able to update the firmware on this speaker itself. The bass depending on the song playing does drone out just a bit when at max volume, but not to the point where I mentioned before. I was taken by surprise by the battery life expectancy...because it lasted much longer than claims said to be. Regardless of the imperfections, I'm happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Premium Speaker!!! This speaker is a trapaholics dream come true!!! My favorite little speaker the JBL charge 2 + only got bigger and I love it, I've taken it to the mall over to friends places and one gathering and it's always gathers attention, on its own I've had someone say it sounds like a living room system, which is why I can't wait to grab a second one! I use this thing on my Suzuki Burgman 400 and it sounds spectacular I used to connect feature to connect my flip 3 to it, though the extreme overpowers the flip 3 I hope the charge 3 can still be heard from in front of me when it comes out trying to get true surround sound on my maxi scooter lol! I always recommend this to anyone that ask! Bravo JBL Cant wait to get my second Xtreme and 2 Charge 3's!!!

Can two jbl charge 3 speakers be paired to a jbl xtreme speaker?

Asked by: dbash
The JBL Xtreme is using the Connect feature while the Charge 3 is using the Connect + feature. These cannot connect with each other. You'll need to have the speaker on the same feature (Connect or Connect +) to get them connected .

I own 4 xtreme JB, 1 JBL Charge 3 and have the new connect app. Updated the software as rrequeated on 2 out of 5 speakers. But 2 speakers max will connect. No where near 100. What am I doing wrong or is the multiple (over 2) a sales tale?

Asked by: G Tunes
You'll need to use the JBL "Connect+" The Connect feature is the 1st one and can only connect to 2 speakers max, while our newer speakers that have the Connect+ (Flip 4, Pulse 3, Boombox, Charge 4, Xtreme 2) can connect to 100+ speakers at the same time.

What is the ohms in the JBL Xtreme?

Asked by: orim20002
Hi! Since the JBL Xtreme is a  powered speaker with a built-in amplifier, we do not display the ohm rating for it and we cannot give out that information except for our our service centers.

Welke speaker is harder?: de JBL Xtreme of de JBL Charge 4?

Asked by: marije123

Asked by: Lelon
Vielen Dank.
