Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great class d amp I am loving how small and powerfully this amp is it's class d so it draws very little power but it's powerfully enough to push s3-1224 to its full potential which is plenty bass

every time turn on my radio my club 5501 amp turns on too, but my amp stays with the protect led on for about 3-5 seconds and after that the amp is ready to play music, is this normal?

Asked by: Francisco Sousa
What you are experiencing is not normal. There would be a possibility of a wiring issue with your car system .I noticed that you are in Portugal. If this doesn't help, please contact the store where it was purchased and they should be able to assist you or at least guide you to those who can.

I have club704 amp 2 pair gto609c also got the s3 1224 sub is this amp enough to drive the s3 1224 at full potential.

Asked by: Eboooo
The club 704 would not be able to drive the S3 1224 to it's full potential since the wattage it drives is too low for the S31224. While the Club 5501 can definitely drive the S3 1224 to it's full potential due to it being able to drive 370W at 4ohms to the Sub which can handle 500W at 4 ohms.

Hi would I be able to run two S2-1024 subs with this amplifier? Would running them in parallel with both set at 4ohms and therefore the amp at 2ohms be ok?

Asked by: James Foster
Hello! Thank you for your message. Indeed, you can connect the two S2-1024 subwoofers with the Club 5501 amplifier. However, we recommend you set the switch from the Subwoofers at 4 ohms. If you require further assistance, please contact us at customer.support@harman.com.

What is the best subwoofer to use with this amp??

Asked by: Lexiisdope
The JBL Club 5501 amplifier's power rating is 370 watts RMS at 4 ohms, or 550 watts RMS at 2 ohms. Any one of our subs can handle this wattage, like the S3-1224 or S3-1024, will work great.
