Rated 5 out of 5 by jce3000gt from Fantastic sound, better than anticipated. I had some $$$ to spend at the Sprint store and I decided to get a bluetooth speaker for the house--in our large open living area. I heard all of the ones there at the store and this one provided the best highs and pounding lows so I picked it up. Not only did it fill my room (with a very high cathedral ceiling) with a full sound but crisp as well. Nothing feels muddy about this sound! I haven't tried to connect the device from a long distance as my old iPhone 4S is now my iPod sitting next to the unit but I have no doubt it'll work as intended. My only gripe was the price, but since I basically got this for free it was no skin off my back. Strongly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LouisG from Great addition to any Studio I brought this speaker as I had previously brought an older model Onyx. I love the sound and quality of the speaker that I felt the need to add this to my home studio. I am an audiophile and don't buy into the overpriced items endorsed by celebrities. I buy pure audio quality and Harmon Kardon gets it. It does add the 360 room feel without having running wires all over the place. Overall, satisfied with my purchased, and look forward to the future generation of HK products. Just one question, there is another model Aura studio that doesn't feature the AirPlay but does offer a microphone to answer calls, where can people purchase that one?

Rated 5 out of 5 by snsb from Fantastic sound quality The Aura has amazing sound quality that fills up the room. It's probably one of the only speakers that has a subwoofer/bass. A lot of outer speakers just doesn't cut it. All you hear is the treble and you just don't hear the full sound of a song. The only negative I have is that I work in a multi unit space and since this is a wireless/Bluetooth connected speaker someone else also has a HK speaker and since all the speakers start with HK someone else connected to my speaker without their knowledge and cranked up the volume which wasn't good. We need to be able to change the names of our speaker or password protect it so this doesn't happen again. It's happened multiple times to me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by milo7899 from Great sound but connection problems Hi, I have been experiencing problems with the connection to my Aura speaker since the beginning. I have tried to connect it to my iphone, ipad, mackbook air and the connection via wifi or bluetooth would be in any case very unstable. With my iphone and ipad I often experience that the volume goes crazy and keeps going up and down by itself or straight to the maximum volume. It is pretty annoying and, although I love the look and the sound of this device, I cannot be happy with it. Anybody experiencing a similar problem? any tip is welcome! Thanks Camillo

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mehdi R from Uniqe design, Outstanding performance.. I remember harman kardon audio system in BMW and I was aware of brands reputation so I bought this speaker(if you call this perfect sound system just "speaker"). The quality and bass of this speaker is just O U T S T A N D I N G. Once you connect it to your phone with Bluetooth you don't even need to power on next time, It will automatically turn on and play. I've tested a lot of wireless speakers and never seen something like this before! Well done harman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MikeSwein from I love this thing. The speakers that circle across the bottom seem to come right from Soundsticks which is another great system (I saw an X-Ray of it) I have zero connectivity issues with my 3 Android phones I have used to connect with it in the time I have had it. This device will rock the house or can be heard clearly across my immense back yard. Deep BASS and incredible sound all around. (And a note to the guy that has problems with other people connecting to it late at night... maybe turn it off?)

Rated 3 out of 5 by sayer from Aura Review Colorado This was a preorder so I never got to see any reviews online or see one in person. Pros: The sound is great, 360 degree sound projection works very well The design/style is very sleek Once you are connected via bluetooth, volume control and bass are easy via smart phone. Cons: Not as intuitive connecting via Bluetooth or changing controllers or switching from iPhone back to tv. Bluetooth blacks out randomly way to often while watching movies/tv via apple tv. The lower black part of the speaker is covered in fabric, I'm not sure if I like it or how long it will stay in shape.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Penny from Horrible connectivity issues I bought this after reading glowing reviews about the sound quality. And I have had nothing but problems with it ever since. It's boxed up and sitting in the closet now. HK support won't answer any of my emails. The wifi connection is terrible, even sitting 2-3 feet from the apple AirPort it cuts out all the time, completely unusable. I also had an instance with the touch pad buttons glitching out and continually turning the speaker up. This happened in the middle of the night, and then somehow someone else's music was playing at full blast, I had to pull the power cord out to get it to stop. It's a lovely design, but makes a better flower vase than speaker, and forget any support from hk.

Hi, can i pair omni + speakers with this Aura speaker?
Unfortunately, you would not be able to pair the OMNI+ speakers with the HK AURA since the latter can only be controlled with the HK Controller app, while the OMNI speakers are supported by the HK Remote app. You can connect an HK ADAPT+ via aux to your HK Aura instead so that it can be grouped with the OMNI+ speakers.

I am trying to connect this AURA to my Panasonic TV via optical cable but it's not working, can you please advise if i might be not using to correct format or something else could be possible?
Hi! The Aura is capable of connecting to the TV via Optical cable. Just make sure you change the source on the Aura to Optical (Source LED should be white and constant) and on your TV's source should be the speaker. We noticed that you are in New Zealand. If you need further assistance, please submit a case at email@example.com and our Customer Service Team will be more than happy to further assist you.

I’m told the aura studio 2 can be paired in stereo. Is that correct. How do you do that
The Aura Studio does not have a stereo feature. It has the Wireless Dual Sound feature that allows you to play music one Aura Studio 2 speaker, then use the Bluetooth buttons on the first speaker to connect to second Aura Studio 2 speaker with the Bluetooth button and play the same music louder. The resulting music is going to be mono, not stereo.

Hi, I now have 2 Auras & neither of them seem to let me change 'source' from bluetooth? Both speakers beep but should the button light up a different colour please? I'm trying to use the aux. Thanks
Hi Jules, Yes, when the source button color is Blue, it means it is still receiving an active Bluetooth signal from somehwere. Try un-pairing your mobile device from Bluetooth ( or just turn Bluetooth off on the mobile devices to test ) and play audio through AUX. The source led should not light up at all then. When playing on WiFi, the source led is Green. When on Bluetooth, it's blue, and when playing through Optical cable, it should be white. When on AUX, no led should be on on the source button. If this doesn't help, please contact our customer support for assistance.

can you pair more speakers with the aura?
I pair 3 Auras and a main Harman kardon stereo amp through airplay. The only way to have them play is by using Itunes/apple music. It is an apple only feature.

1. How to see a list of paired devices on this device and remove them. One of my neighbor has connected to it while it was in pairing mode and keeps waking us all up by playing noisy songs. Even when i am using he/she just connects to it & disturbs us.
Unfortunately, there is no way for us to see the list of paired devices and remove one of them. What we can do instead is to reset the unit to remove all that has been paired to it. To do this, While in operational mode, press and hold the Source and Power buttons for about 6-7 seconds. You will need to repair all the devices manually to the speaker again after this.
