JBL GT7 Series speakers are the optimal choice for those audio junkies who desire an upgrade to their factory sound and style. Because they fit most factory sizes and come with mounting hardware, installation is hassle free. Featuring Plus OneTM woofer cones and a frequency response up to 21kHz, the individually voiced GT7 series speakers are designed to blow you away in both sound and style.
Product Features:
  • Plus One™ Woofer Cones
Harman’s patented (US patent #7,548,631) Plus One™ polypropylene cones provide more overall speaker-cone area than other cones in its class — the result is higher sensitivity, increased low-frequency output and greater musical character.
  • External Crossover Housing
The GT7 component systems feature external crossover housings, which provide extra space for true high pass and low pass sections – a step up from the coaxial models –smoothing out the critical midband response where most of the music occurs. There’s also a tweeter level control, which allows fine adjustment to suit varying listening tastes and to accommodate different placement.
  • Frequency Response Up to 21kHz
Hear what you’ve been missing — the JBL GT7 Series offers a frequency response that delivers the full-range response associated with exceptional sound.
  • Individually Voiced
For most brands, off-the-shelf speakers and a cursory approval of frequency response curves are good enough. That’s not the case with JBL. We don’t only listen to our speakers against the competition — we voice them against each other to ensure each line has the consistent JBL sound signature that’s known and sought out by those who care about their audio. This is just part of an extensive development process undertaken by some of the best transducer engineers in the world to provide the finest listening experience at any price point.
  • Affordable Pricing
The JBL GT7 Series are all designed to give audio enthusiasts more boom for the buck — while they maintain a conservative price point, there is never a compromise in sound.
  • OEM-Level Reliability Testing
JBL tests every speaker design to the same rigid specifications as the automakers, subjecting them to extreme conditions that would break lesser speakers. We freeze them, bake them, shake them, blast them with ultraviolet light and drive them at full power for days to make sure your audio investment lasts for years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So so speaker I bought these speakers for my 2014 Focus ST and thought I was getting a great speaker for a great price based on my previous experience with JBL Home speakers. I initially installed them as an OEM replacement and they sounded just OK. The tweeters were very harsh and annoying to the ear, especially the rear ones which are mounted on the door. Once I added an amplifier the harshness became worse, so much so that I had to disconnect the rear tweeters to keep from going crazy. The woofer part of the system sounds fine but them I am running them through a JBL GTO5-EZ amp on the HP crossover setting. It reproduces good mids and mid bass but thats about it. I should have known better than to buy these since JBL has them listed on their car speaker section and not the car component speaker section, but thats what you get when you buy a sale item. I feel they should have designed these with a silk tweeter instead of the PEI one it comes with. I don't think it would have affected the price that much and would have made for a much smoother sounding speaker system. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE my JBL 4412 home speakers and my GTO5-EZ car amp but I think they dropped the ball on these speakers. Oh well, you live and you learn. Now I guess I'll try to return them and find something else to put in my car.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tweeters are awful I've owned JBL speakers and amplifiers for 10 years. Several different combinations, and these gt7 comps sound awful. The tweeter distorts and sounds harsh at every volume. Pretty much a waste of $120 considering your can get way better speakers from anyone else for that money. My other car has JBL P660 components in the front, amped and they sound amazing after 6 years. I have Gto coaxile also which sound better too. These sound like $20 eBay speakers and the woofer cones feel cheap. Only thing I liked was the size of the crossover which was compact. Although, I'd bet the tweeters sounding bad can somehow be attributed to the capacitors in the xover. They're 1/3 the size of my crossovers for my p660s. To bad they don't sell those anymore. I've owned almost exclusively JBL/Infinity. But have also owned JL C5 comps, Alpine type r comps, pioneer coaxiles and Kenwood products. these are wired to a Kenwood radio dnx573. My p660s are wired to JVC kw-nt3 with 3 amplifiers in that car. I won't be amping these.

which speakers are best for genesis coupe i need to replace install jbl speakers on factory speakers

Asked by: Budi
Hi, and thank you for your interest in JBL car speakers. We are very sorry, but we do not have information about which speakers fit into the existing holes in cars. However, car speakers are more or less standardized, and most 6" speakers will fit into a 6" hole, etc. Of course, if it is not possible to get any help before buying, it is most wise to buy from a shop which offers full right of return, making it possible to check if the speakers actually fit, and send them back if they do not. Sorry not to offer better assistance. If you seek more information, feel free to contact our helpdesk.
